Hope Project |
On behalf of McCandless Elementary, I would like to say thank you for the staff cookies and your giving of a present for each child attending the school. Those people who assisted in passing out the presents know the excitement the students had when they found they had a gift. Several teachers had tears in their eyes. When I walked around checking classrooms, students wanted to share with me what was in their gift. When one student wanted to show me, then the whole classroom needed to share. Students had to model their hats and gloves for me. McCandless is 90% low socio--economic status with 36 homeless students. The country's economy is really seen at the school. You brought hope to many students this holiday season. God bless you for your kindness.~ Mr. Owen, McCandless Elementary School Principal We would like to thank you very much for the amazing presents you sent to the students. Two of those gifts went to my son and daughter and I'm beyond grateful. Thank you so much for taking care of these children and giving them something special for Christmas, and of course thank you for giving my own kids these gifts too. God bless you and everyone that helped to give these gifts. ~Francisco Just wanted to send you a thank you from my family for the Christmas basket you gave us. It was very much appreciated. Hope Project Schedule The Hope Project will reach many in our community. The good news is you can help! During the soon approaching Christmas Season it is our hope to touch the lives of every single student at a local elementary school in a practical and tanglible way. Our goal is to provide for each of the students a shoe box filled with items that show God's love and care in a personal way. In addition to the student boxes, we are also planning to provide family boxes for a number of households, as well as a basket of items for each teacher. Beginning Sunday, November 22nd we will be distributing boxes that you can take home to fill for the students. These boxes may be picked up at either the Garden Foyer or the South Entrance. When you check out a box you will also receive a list of items that will go in the box. Boxes may be returned anytime between November 22nd and Sunday, Decemer 13th. Won't you begin praying now as to how you might be involved with the Hope Project? Perhaps you would be able to go together with another person and fill a box, or maybe you can fill more than one box. One thing is certain, this is a monumental effort and without your help we will fall short of our goal. Together we can make a difference and bring the Hope of Christ to these children and their families. Family Gift Boxes Are Also Available Return Your Boxes To The Church Schedule |
